40th Annual Dutch Shoe Marathon – Sabots race on SD Bay – July 24th
July 23rd, 2009 Posted in Coronado Schools & Youth Activities, Special Events in CoronadoThe tradition of starting at SDYC, and racing all the way to Coronado YC has been a long standing summer event that many sailors and families look forward to every year. Around 200 sailors will compete in the sailing marathon.
The race begins at 12:00pm from San Diego Yacht Club and finished at Coronado Yacht Club. Pack a picnic, find a seat along the bay and watch the entertainment as this miniature armada sails by.
