4th of July updates!!!

July 3rd, 2009 Posted in Coronado News

The Coronado 4th of July parade will be broadcast live on Times Warner Channel 19 starting at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 4, from 1100 Orange Avenue. A small remote camera will have perhaps one of the best views down Orange Avenue as it records the floats, horses, cars, and people in the 61st Annual Coronado 4th of July parade. The students from KCMS will be the narrators and will be commenting on the parade for this live broadcast. They will also be interviewing individuals from the community and giving announcements of events, activities and information about the festivities and about other events in Coronado. Volunteer Mark Gilliland is producing and directing the televised event in conjunction with Times Warner Cable and the Coronado Historical Association. The technical team is trying to stream the recording onto the Internet. More announcements about where to watch the parade online will follow.

Also, Ferry Landing will have controlled parking in effect from 7:00 am – 7:00 pm. $20 flat fee refund available with proof of purchase within 2-hour time limit. Lot will close the night before, no over-sized vehicles.

Park the car, and stroll around town. You’ll see Coronado in a whole new way!!! Have a safe and happy 4th of July!!!
