Sharp Coronado Hospital Health & Wellness Fair – October 24

Sharp Coronado Hospital will hold a free Health and Wellness Fair to celebrate patient-centered care, and to provide health information to the community. The fair will be held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., on Saturday, October 24.

The Health and Wellness Fair will feature free health screenings, such as blood pressure and cholesterol, and caregivers will be available to answer questions at “Ask the Physician” and “Ask the Pharmacist” wellness booths.

Tours of the hospital’s recently remodeled second floor will be offered, and visitors will see the floor’s comfortable family and patient lounge and kitchen areas. The hospital’s healing gardens and labyrinth, a circular meditative path, provide spaces for comfort and peace, and will be open for exploration.

At the Teddy Bear Clinic each child can follow his or her favorite doll or stuffed animal through a “check-up” given by friendly medical staff, including mock registration, examination, medication, suture, and cast stations.
