Coronado Schools are highly rated and one of the reasons people decide to live in Coronado to raise their kids. Coronado Unified School District has a comprehensive website and each school site within the district has a website, too. Coronado Island also boasts two private schools for elementary school age kids and there are a number of preschools in town, too. All Coronado schools are listed on this comprehensive list.

The MWR Youth Programs Department operates the Silver Strand Recreation Center, offering a wide variety of recreation programs for military dependent children ages three to seventeen. The Recreation Center programs include a Before & After School Program (5-12 years), Day Camp/Intersession during summer vacation and holidays (5-12 years), and a Tiny Tot Program (3-5 years) as well as activities for teens. |

The mission of the Coronado Yacht Club Junior Sailing Program is to instill an abiding respect and love for sailing and the Corinthian ideals of achievement and sporting conduct. Open to the public. |

Coronado Little League is a non-profit organization that offers baseball and softball to Coronado boys and girls ages 5-16 years old. Regular season runs from February through July. Winter Baseball starts after Labor Day and runs for 8 weeks. |

A part of the City of Coronado’s Recreation Department, Coronado’s own skateboard park caters to all ages and levels of skateboarding experience. Located in Tidelands Park, next to the bridge, this facility has bowls, grinds, ramps and jumps. Equipment is available for rent. |

Coronado Youth Soccer League, Inc. is a nonprofit, public educational soccer organization for youth under nineteen (19) years of age whose goal is to promote the development of youth soccer players to their greatest potential.

To use the sports of swimming and water polo to assist young men and women both in the community of Coronado, as well as outlying communities, to reach their full potential in athletic achievement and personal development. Coronado Aquatics Club is a United States Water Polo (USWP) affiliated club.

It is the goal of Coronado Youth Football and Cheer to instill teamwork, sportsmanship and self discipline in our boys and girls while teaching them the fundamentals of football and cheer, as appropriate, in accordance with San Diego Youth Football’s guidelines for their age and experience. Season begins in August – November. Ages 6-15
