Glorietta Bay Sewage Spill

3,000 gallons of sewage spilled into the Glorietta Bay Park area this morning.  Signs warning of the contaminated water have been posted.

The spill was discovered about 6:30am and took City of Coronado crews about two hours to stop it.  The cause is said to be a power failure at a pumping station. 

 Officials said the water is off limits until water samples indicate it is safe for recreational use.
