You might have heard that there was a state-wide earthquake awareness drill to practice how to protect ourselves during earthquakes, and to get prepared at work, school, and home. The moment was Thursday, October 15 at 10:00am and people all over the state participated. The official website, ShakeOut.org, is full of information about how to prepare, what to do during an earthquake, and offers different scenarios depending on where you are when the “big one” hits. It’s hard to imagine an earthquake of any consequence hitting where you live, but that’s not a good reason not to be prepared.
