On this day in Coronado history, President Bill Clinton arrives on Air Force One at North Island and rides a motorcade down Ocean Blvd to the Hotel del Coronado to spend the night. During his visit to he did a morning run on the beach with Navy SEALS, and visited with well-wishers who were surprised to find their president on the beach! Later he played a quick round of golf at North Island’s Sea’N Air Golf Course before flying out of town.
