SAN DIEGO – The San Diego Unified Port District is spending $2 million to refurbish public restrooms in parks and other facilities it administers, with completion expected in August. Plumbing, wiring, partitions, fixtures and other equipment will be replaced or repaired. The port is undertaking the work after finding deficiencies in 30 restrooms in a maintenance inspection. Work will also be done in port-maintained parks in Chula Vista, Coronado and Imperial Beach, and other sites.  The port will provide portable restrooms during renovations.
