Noise Advisory: SEPTEMBER 12-16, 2009
Naval Air Station North Island, Calif. — Residents in the immediate vicinity of Naval Air Station North Island may experience a temporary increase in noise, due to military aircraft training exercises being conducted here, September 12 – 26, 2009.
Ten F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft from the 301st Fighter Wing, based at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Carswell Field, Texas will be here for routine aircrew training in preparation for deployments.
The Navy recognizes the importance of being good neighbors with the local communities and makes every effort to abate noise when possible.
