Superfrog Triathlon

Tomorrow is the 30th annual Superfrog Triathlon.  Designed by Navy SEALS, the SUPERFROG is the first and longest running half-IRONMAN distance triathlon.  Presented by Naval Special Warfare, the SUPERFROG is still considered one of the toughest medium-distance triathlons around.   This event attracts high level athletes and is always a crowd pleaser.

Founded by retired Navy SEAL and Coronado resident, Philip “Moki” Martin, SuperFrog was originally held on the beaches of Coronado and the roads of five south bay cities and later at the Naval Air Station at North Island and the Naval Amphibious Base, this SEAL Triathlon will now be held at the Silver Strand State Beach in Coronado, California.

SUPERFROG XXX, is a half IRONMAN distance circuit-style triathlon (1.2 mile swim/56 mile bike/13.1 mile run).  Also, new this year will be the SUPERSEAL 1 Triathlon, an international distance race (1.5km swim/40km bike/10km run) to run concurrently with SuperFrog.

All proceeds of SUPERFROG and SUPERSEAL go to the Naval Special Warfare Foundation.
